Breed that inspired Dougal from TV children show The Magic Roundabout, the Disney Movie Greyfriars Bobby and the children's book character Hairy Maclary.
Why I added Skye Terriers to my family.
I wanted to get a smaller/medium sized breed to suit my older years, as my fitness and strength declined. I wanted a smaller breed with a large breed attitude. My research revealed that Skye's are loyal, affectionate, protective and I thought they were a stunning looking dog.
